Young People

To make children of all ages feel at home, Holy Trinity offers a range of activities that makes church a place of learning, fun and creativity.  Happy children usually mean happy parents too, and it is our hope that parents will be able to relax and enjoy our services, confident that their children are engaged and contented.  Although there are a number of opportunities for children listed below, parents always have the option of keeping their children with them though the service, and appropriate 'pew bags' can be provided upon request.

Children's activities are available during most services.   Creche

For children aged three and under there is a Crèche in the small hall with plenty of toys to ensure your children have a fun experience.  CRB-checked volunteers staff this area. Parents are welcome to leave their children, or stay with them if they prefer.

For children aged 4 to 10 there is Junior Church in the hall. Children leave for Junior Church after a short children’s talk 10 minutes into the main service and return for communion.  Crafts, singing and stories are all part of the fun.

We are planning to relaunch our choir which has thrived in the past and is a great way for children to get a musical education as well as being really involved in the worship.  We will be recruiting new members at the beginning of October 2011 - both adults and children.  Children are welcome to join the choir when they can read they do not have to be able to read music - that will be taught to them at choir practice.  The Choir currently practices on Friday evenings, but this is under review with the relaunch.  For more information please contact our Choirmaster Rupert Merson on 020 8677 3102.

In addition to activities on a Sunday morning, Holy Trinity often has a number of seasonal activities and events such as pancakes on Shrove Tuesday afternoon.  Every year we hold children's craft workshops at Christmas and Easter, and on Christmas Eve the church is packed for our Crib Service.
